Members of The National Commission for Persons with Disabilities (NCPD), met with Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Marine Resources Rena Glinton and senior Ministry officials, April 5, 2016 at the Ministry to give an overview of the work of the Commission and discuss designation of inspectors to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities) Act 2014.
It was noted the Ministry of Agriculture and Marine Resources was the first Ministry to be visited by the Commission, and it is their intention to conduct similar meetings with all Government Ministries.
Miss Glinton welcomed the Commission and promised to urgently seek to address the issues raised.
